Study of the economic and climate benefits to the UK of an increased use of bio-based chemicals
We are delighted to be working with NNFCC The Bioeconomy Consultants, Perspective Economics and Imperial College London, conducting a study for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to determine the economic and climate benefits to the UK of an increased use of bio-based chemicals.

By producing quantitative estimates of carbon and economic benefits of various biomanufacturing technologies, this research will highlight areas in which biomass use in the chemicals sector can best contribute to growing innovation and the economy, while also helping meet the UK’s Net Zero ambitions.
